VIRGINIA AND CHARI ARGÜELLO: PASSION, TRADITION AND AVANT-GARDE IN MEN'S BARBERSHOPS
Virginia and Chari Argüello, second generation barbers with more than 25 years of experience, began their professional career in their father's barbershop, where they learned the basics of traditional barbering almost out of obligation. After five years working together, Chari decided to explore the world of women's hairdressing, training in prestigious academies such as “Rizos” and “Cebados”, while Virginia chose to innovate in the field of men's barbering, adopting new techniques and services, including the Menswork technique.
Twenty years ago, both sisters decided to join forces and open their own barber shop. Their vision and effort allowed them to evolve not only technically, but also in business management, managing to expand and open a second salon with a team of eight people. Their dedication and excellence were recognized in 2017, when they received the award for the best barbershop of the year granted by the platform “Barberías con Encanto” and the quality badge with one star delivered by “TheQHair”.
Over the years, their work has been featured in regional media and renowned magazines such as “CQ”, “Estetica Moda Cabello”, “C&C Magazine”, ‘Tocado’ and “Peluquería Hair Styles”. They have also been protagonists in solidarity events organized by Mujeres Barberas, Asociación de Peluqueros, Barberías con Encanto and Barberos 3.0, carrying out shows in national fairs and collaborating annually in the Movember event, where they even recorded a video clip titled “Ánimo”.
Virginia and Chari have created two barbershop collections, one of which was a finalist for best men's collection in the “Barberías con Encanto” platform. Their commitment to professional training has led them to collaborate with academies and brands in the sector, sharing their knowledge and passion for barbering.
